Thirty-five years ago, a group of young school children disappeared in the Japanese woods.In present day Japan, a lazy young reporter is tasked to write a story on the children.

The children rises from the dead, and takes the journalist on a journey into the woods to unravel a decades-old mystery of what happened .

This is a dumb story and dumb \'ghosts\' or should i say \'alien like creatures\'. I find it boring all the way and I don\'t recommend this movie if you are really looking for a truly horror movie.

An ok movie, 7 out of 10

Things I learned from this movie:

-Age is in the mind. You can feel 40 but look 10.
-A body without organs can function perfectly.
-Hitting your children in the head will get rid of them permanently.
-Some ghosts like to collect acorns in their spare time, when they aren´t killing their relatives.
-Asian teenagers will grow afros when provoked.
-If you recently experienced paranormal activity and the doorbell rings...don´t open it.

If that demon/alien/ghost girl wanted a family so much than why didn\' t she go move in with a family of squirrel\'s or chickmunk\'s? She would have fit right in cause she likes collecting acorns and they like collecting acorns. She would have been much happier.

How strange.. The movie isn\'t the same as one in the summary. But it was so much better than \"The Vanished\" sounded! A wonderful psychological mystery, with smooth twists and turns, a good message, a well-developed plot, and a touching ending. 10/10

Yeah, GA5 and Lala are right, the movie isn\'t the same as described in the summary. I guess it\'s either mislabeled on Youtube or their are two Japanese movies called Vanished. BUT, this was okayyyy. 2.5 out of 5 I guess. Thanks for the upload. :)

Eek, sorry, two seconds after writing that comment I figured out something else- you already have this movie listed in your index under the name Oyayubi Sagashi. So this movie on Youtube is mislabeled, this movie is actually \"Oyayubi Sagashi\". I guess take it down or something to save having it twice..? :S
