They Wait 2007

A couple returns to North America for a family funeral, having lived in Shanghai, China for the previous six years.

Soon after they arrive, their son Jamie begins to see ghosts and suffer possession by one of the living dead, and it all ties in with the Chinese festival of Ghost Month, when the doors of hell supposedly open and angry spirits are given the chance to terrorize the living....

This movie was mediocre at best. There are too many \"horror\" movies where the living try to help the dead. That\'s not horror, its morality. Horror is supposed to be smothered in immorality.This movie doesn\'t sate my horror hunger.

Although I must say that the story about how the Chinese using bears is interesting...

and the nut-shot at 9:06 made me giggle a little.

okay this movie shouldn\'t be in Asian Horrors. This movie is sooooooooo white washed! I give it 10/10!! It was sooooooo good! It made me laugh sooooo much!!! Great comedy!! I recommend it for everyone to see!!! AWESEOMEST!!! The End!

great movie
to perloo, last i checked what the aunt did was immoral and a ghost trying to take the soul of a child is immoral as well. another thing is it is horror for it deals with ghost and when there is something unworldly that you have no control over and cant explain that in itself is scary, to deal with the wrath of the dead is horror so your whole theory on it is misconstrued.

This movie rocks! I loved the amount of backstory that we got, and it was way spooky. It was a scary movie, not a \'horror\', in the sense that in scary movies the good guys get a happy ending and bad guys get thier comeuppence rather than a horror where everyone is fair game.
Horrors are horrifying because you know that if you were in that situation, having karma points would mean absolutely nothing.
Scary movie = Sumphah ini pocong, They wait...

kind of miss the subtitles :) Good movie until the bones reached out and grabbed the two men. That was cheesy. Other than that, fun to watch.

I seen great movies that are so moving. this is one that is so heart felt, no one knows what they have until its almost lost, a mothers love is like no other, would a mother do noting and let their son die?
