Captain Obvious (9/12/2008 @ 7:23 pm)
Why the fuck did they spend a couple of hours bailing out water when they clearly could have used their hands to grope around and find Sadakus body in about 10 seconds (As eventually happens)? That\'s the worse case of time-keeping I\'ve ever seen... =________=\'\'
horrormoviefanatic (9/25/2008 @ 6:45 pm)
it was not scary at all. I am a horror movie fanatic and this just was not scary. I love asian horror movies and I have seen alot of scary ones, but this did not do it for me.American version much scarier.
Crimson Monk (10/23/2008 @ 9:01 am)
Decent movie. I felt like the Japanese version of The Ring was much more of a psychological horror film that keeps you wondering and thinking, compared to the American version. It\'s hard to tell which is better, though I\'m left with a feeling after watching this unlike when I watched the US release.
nickccr (10/25/2008 @ 4:21 am)
i luv this movie. i watched the end part in fullscreen with the lights off and the door closed in the middle of the night..........bad mistake. i kept looking over my shoulder expecting her to appear
The Sacrificial Lamb (10/26/2008 @ 2:09 am)
I agree with the Crimson Monk.
The Japanese version is much more of a psychological thriller. It had a few obvious flaws, But it was a very good movie.
PxLxSxBxP (11/6/2008 @ 11:16 am)
I love the japanese original! The american version is s*** compared to it!
Phoenix (11/22/2008 @ 6:22 pm)
Good movie, but not scary at all :( i might download the american version, some people say its way more scary then this one...

oh, and sadako\'s head is placed backwards with her eye (only has one) on the wrong side, so thats why her hair is weird :P
nikhi (11/28/2008 @ 7:20 am)
nice movie but not that scary....except for in the end wen she comes out of the television.
cogito_moose (12/3/2008 @ 10:20 am)
I wonder what would happen if you watched it a second time. Would you have make a second copy?
liv (12/4/2008 @ 3:48 am)
this movie was bomb. it wasn\'t inyourface scary like the american version but it was a thriller for sure. great original.
SuMMer (12/5/2008 @ 6:46 pm)
Pretty good movie,Even thought I didn\'t get scared as I thought I would be. Worth watching though, now I just have to watch the American version of it and..I\'m a big fan of Asian Movies, can\'t get enough of it.
jessie (1/5/2009 @ 8:00 am)
first time i have to say the American version was better... i always opt for Asian when it comes to horror, but this one... i\'d have to recommend American.
lol (1/7/2009 @ 7:48 pm)
i like the movie but it isn`t really scarry.
Deepthi (1/9/2009 @ 11:43 pm)
Nice Movie,Ofcourse it wasn\'t scary. But the husband would have been saved He tried a lot to find it out but just sending the copyof the video lessened the curse?shet
U Name It (1/20/2009 @ 11:54 pm)
Japanese version is way better,I prefer psychological thrillers over straight out gory movies....this one was better to me than the American version it actually told you why everything was happening instead of jumping straight into the scary scenes. It\'s all about the story for me! ;)
antonszander (1/25/2009 @ 12:27 pm)
na soz the yank version was a walk in the park compared to the japanese one yanks are best sticking with king kong and so on lol : ) peace...
Kikya (2/22/2009 @ 9:35 am)
The plot is better than the american version, But it wasn\'t scary in any way at all. They are still tied . Yoichi was sso adorable.
horror_fanatic (2/25/2009 @ 9:44 pm)
I like the movie and also find it scary. Japanese version is far more superior than american remake.
Yam (2/27/2009 @ 11:50 pm)
really good ending i watched the amricna one about 4 year ago this one is a good s the american one.
Kikujanawa (3/17/2009 @ 6:02 am)
could use a bit more blood, not as much boring talking scenes... spazzing out into the parking lot, what was the point of that???
ahahahah (3/22/2009 @ 6:17 pm)
Ahahahahaha he smacker her! That tore me up. But seriously what\'s the idea of pouring out water from a well when: 1) He\'s literally standing on the floor after a few buckets... so what gives? 2)If they were psychic enough to bring buckets with ropes why not scuba gears? It\'s not like they know how much water the well might have...
3) He smacked her :D Good stuff ahahahahaha.

Too bad after watching 2 jap/korean horror movies... I know the ending will always turn out bad for the good guys. There\'s always someone that dies or disappears. Sure freakin wish they have MORE SCARE CONTENT for a horror movie.
D.F.N.A. DANCE CREW (3/22/2009 @ 10:20 pm)
im american in some of are remakes aint that good but r ring is 100 times better then the asian version
Toshio (3/29/2009 @ 9:44 pm)
This version is way better! is the original! and Sadako is too scary than Samara(like Linda Blair)
KurdishLeyla21 (4/7/2009 @ 9:33 pm)
Nice Movie, not as Scary as everyone says it is. Worth watching it though, 8/10 from me :)
LilithLolita (6/25/2009 @ 5:14 am)
I feel that the story line was more interesting and better than that of the american version, however the film style and effects of the american version was what made it good.
if they had just stuck to the original then it would have probably 100 times better.
eve (7/2/2009 @ 12:39 am)
so she cursed her own father to save her son!! what a psycho i mean seriously there are millions of strangers u can show it to
hlr (8/10/2009 @ 12:45 pm)
good movie...thanks!
jgc (8/25/2009 @ 3:37 am)
Not bad, i appreciate how the Japanese don\'t screw up their faces too bad when they die. America did it just a bit too much, not scary, just hard to look at. i liked this movie.
(8/29/2009 @ 11:20 pm)
i loved this movie
4444444444444 (11/10/2009 @ 11:02 pm)
sooo...she showed it to her father to save her son?
MJ_Poe (11/18/2009 @ 2:16 am)
i liked the story line with this one, however the USA Version scared me alot more. sadly the only part about this that scared me was the no finger nails thing. ewww. didn\'t like how she\'d sacrfice her father for her son though. thats kinda mean
Chenoak (11/26/2009 @ 3:43 pm)
This didn\'t frighten me one bit, it was very nicely put together, though would have played better as a mystery/thriller rather than a horror, as for a comparison, I cannot say, I remember being so frightened when I first watched the american version, though, having only watched it that once as a little girl, I cannot honestly give any real comparison though...I can only see that one scene with sadoko and the husband as being of a slightly horror theme, other than that the plot was rather simple to follow, though I give the movie 10/10 for originality as it is a good story...just not scary.
a journey in chaos (11/30/2009 @ 3:09 am)
it\'s the best
Jessica (12/10/2009 @ 5:29 am)
Good movie! American version has more scary parts though. But at the end when the blanket guy was reflected onto the TV pointing at her purse, so creepy. Also what is the point of the chalkboard???
amanda (1/18/2010 @ 1:35 am)
FUCK THAT SHIT. I\'m never taking a bubble bath again.
Rasengan (3/14/2010 @ 2:49 am)
The movie starts being scary from 84th minute. Until then it's boring...
flutter (3/21/2010 @ 1:10 pm)
