THE RING ( RINGU)

Ring (aka Ringu) is a 1998 Japanese horror mystery film from director Hideo Nakata. The film begins with two teenagers, Masami (Hitomi Sato) and Tomoko (Yuko Takeuchi) talking about a videotape recorded by a boy in Izu which is fabled to bear a curse that kills the viewer seven days after watching.

Tomoko then reveals that a week ago, she and three of her friends watched a weird tape and received a call after watching it.... .

The american version is the only remake of an asian horror movie that was any good. Every single one other than that is just too horrible for words.

I love asian horrors and I think this one is gonna go on my list of faves. In my opinion this is better that the American version

Um...why the hell would you commit suicide by jumping in an active volcano? There are much easier ways to do it. And how would any one know you jumped in said volcano? Unless you wrote a letter saying you jumped into it, there would be no remains to prove you did. That would be ridiculous, anyway. Oh well. I still love the crap outta this movie.
