Very entertaining Movie. Funny and creepy .great quality too.

The movie itself was OK but it was pretty crappy in the effects-department. Pretty much everything in it was already used somewhere else and it started going downhill when the haunting begun. It was hilarious in the beginning though. I liked this movie, especially the bleeding blackboard, but it would\'ve been better if I didn\'t know what to expect from all the chiche\'d scenes :)

Yes Indonesian Movies have got some way to go to catch up with thai,korean,japanese but this was a fun Movie.Worth a watch just for the laughs.

I know they really do have a long way to go, but for some reason I really like the Pocong stories.

I saw essences of Juon, The Dorm, Pon, and Shutter in this Movie... It\'s an okay watch.

I thought it was pretty good. Some comedy scenes that were actually funny and humorous...kept my attention. 8/10

I\'ve seen quite a few Indonesian thrillers, but I do concur that the Pocong stories are among the best. It\'s really nice to see them getting some recognition, where most of the time they\'d be overlooked. :x

eeew.....one doesn\'t wash his hands after peeing and another doesn\'t wipe after pooing. the nasty toilet habits are more scary than the ghost!

What does Pocong mean, anyway??? :)

A pocong is a Malaysian/ Indonesian ghost that is said to be the soul of a dead person trapped in their suit. The pocong suit (shroud) is used by Muslims to cover the body of the dead person. They cover the dead body with white fabric called mori and tie the clothing over the head, under the feet, and on the neck. According to the native beliefs, the soul of a dead person will stay on the earth for 40 days after the death. When the ties aren\'t released after 40 days, the body is said to jump out from the grave to warn people that the soul need the bonds to be released. After the ties are released, the soul will leave the earth and never show up anymore. Because of the tie under the feet, the ghost can\'t walk. This causes the pocong to hop.

Ok... now as an Indonesian myself, I haven\'t even seen the movie yet... can\'t really comment about this one.

Let\'s just say I often found Indonesian movies to down right disgusting to watch with story lines to puke on.

The 40 days beliefs are not part of the moslem believes system. It\'s a cultural thing. And it is believed that the pocong ghost jumped out of the grave not after 40 days, but as soon as the following night after it is burried.

And for the hoping part, unlike chinese vampires, pocong is not really a physical thing. Thus it is can not be blocked by physically.

yes we [muslims] do use a white cloth wen a person dies and at the time time of the buriel- bt wat we believe is that for us dying means that the spirit already has left the body when the angel of death comes to take the soul- after which there\'s details of what happens bt thats not relevant =]] in case if ur curious to know- when the body is buried and the people have walked away 40 steps [ppl are not allowed to look back], that is the time when the questioning starts about the main beliefs of the muslim[by the appointed angels for this job], the questions are related to the main beliefs and faith like praying 5 times and believing in one God- i hope that answers a lil bit cz i got confused when ethen gave the details =]] no hard feelings just wanted to clear it- maybe the second half was not related to muslim belief anyways great site =]]
