Thank you for such a great movie. I used a whole box of kleenex on this one. Not scary but horrific, to think that things like this go on is really terrible.

Omg this movie mad me so mad...those ppl are sick and barbaric..how can you not only stone a woman for adultery but the man doesnt get crap done to him when he does it and also have kids participate in it!I shouldnt have expected any less out of those ppl because they are the same ones strapping bombs on themselves and their children to kill other ppl..If i was one of those women I would get stoned from killing one of those selfish greedy men over there!

I don't care what Iranian man sees this, or any man for that matter. What they do is just so very wrong. And they used God's name in vain. Whether anyone believes in God or not, it is just wrong to do something like that to someone who has done nothing, and then in the end they did it all for nothing, All for that bastards lust for another woman and her fathers money. He and everyone in that town should have been stoned. The only one I would forgive would have been Ehbriaham and Hashem, in the end Hashem told the truth and prayed for the journalist to get away with the truth of the matter. Her aunt was a strong woman and I really wish these women could make a stand against them. Yet how could they, when their men are standing around with guns and beating them and bringing them down. No woman would want to sleep with her husband if he was doing such things to her as he was, she did nothing wrong and her husband was. It's just so unbelievable. I agree with JLo. And to think that these men are enriching uranium in the mountains over there hiding the fact they are enriching it to levels that make it possible to create nuclear bombs. This should open some eyes as to why there are wars waged on them. Just so unbelievable, I am in utter shock :( they will all end up in hell, everything they do WILL come back on them. Karma is inevitable...

According to their religion, I don't think the would go to hell for what we consider a crime. Kinda like the concept of honor killing. They may receive 1000 virgins when the get to Jannah (heaven). I've traveled around the middle east and the big cities are more westernized like Dubai but the rural areas may still be practicing stoning and honor killings. Well if are interested in another move like this, then you should watch a Hindi movie called "WATER" that was made in 2006. Wiki it for the description and trust me you will not be disappointed.

In my opinion, every religion has its own pure teaching and manners. It is bad people who deviate the teaching, use them to deceive religious people to do bad things for them... those masterminds, regardless of their babbling about God and stuffs... they won't be forgiven by the heaven and must suffer in hell for their misdeed.

The father really brain washed his sons. Hated his daughters, but wanted to marry a 14 yr old who could be his daughter. Gross. Sick and twisted country. The rocks hitting her face sent chills down my spine. Very sad movie and very well told!!!

Does anyone else find it interestingly ironic that Jim Caviezel (Jesus/Yeshua in 'The Passion of the Christ') was cast as the journalist? I caught myself hoping that he would appear in the Christ role and stop the stoning like he did for Mary Magdelene. Perhaps the casting decision was no coincidence!

This is a MUST SEE film for everyone and anyone. For anyone that has limited to no knowledge of the Islamic culture..must see this film. It is an education in itself. Brilliantly filmed, brilliantly acted. It is a wake-up call to the "mob mentality" caused by organized religion of any sort.
