Nice little twist at the end starting was slow. Watch it and judge it.

Wow. They took a perfectly good premise from a fairly good game and removed almost everything good about it. It\'s almost like they set out to make a bad movie.

this was an awesome movie. not sure it is horror, more like thriller or suspense. still i love it. my fave movie! Yui Ichikawa is so awesome and pretty!! ^^

the beginning really pulled me in, it was very interesting especially the folklores. i wasnt expecting it to end like that but it was pretty good. it really makes you think...anyways i loved it! 5/5 :)

The game sucked ultimately. The english voice over was horrendous, it made it unplayable.

While not an original plot, Forbidden Siren delivers an interesting story, a touch of terror and an ending with multiple realities.

The game was brilliant. It required a great amount of strategy (and brain power) on your part, which SOME people don\'t understand. (Mr. Captain Obvious..) The name suits you. There is nothing OBVIOUS about the game, thus making it difficult for some to play. Hahahaha. The story was amazing, but yes the voice acting was rather quirky. Anyways, the movie was really good, but I wish they kept some of the smaller creepier elements of the game, like the shibito signs. Thank you for the upload!

THIS IS NOT REALLY A MOVIE ABOUT THE GAMES. DOH!
The game is about very ordinary folk finding themselves in a particular lost village in the middle of the night. Each has their own reason for being there. The place is cursed by an interdimensional being which is trying to gain access to our world by turning the inhabitants of the village into \'Shibito\' so they can be controlled.
The movie, however is about a girl who may or may not be bonkers, losing it on the island her Dad brought her to so she could recover a family loss. They loosly add some elements from the games but it\'s really a \'Oh she\'s mad\' movie, the sort of which I hate. I prefer to think she is not mad and all the freaky things that went on were real. I enjoyed seeing Dad Shibito, although no-one is ever refferred to as a Shibito, or Yamabito or anything. Aww.
I really wish this was Forbidden Siren, dodgy British dub and all. I would cheer, oh yes! 7/10

How could I forget the most important thing that made the game so good, \'SIGHTJACKING!\' This movie didn\'t even include that! OK so we got to see the heroine thru a Shibito\'s eyes but it was the usual \'someones behind you in the woods\' view.
In the game you have to look thru the eyes of the Shibito so you know how to creep past them. If when you Sightjack you can see yourself, you are in serious trouble. It\'s really hard and ultimately scary. Stealth with nothing but a stick and some serious brainwork to help you. Fantastic game, floppy film.

I always wanted the game but I don\'t have it yet. I can\'t seem to find it. But now I can order if on line ^_^ Thanks for the movie! Another good movie that makes you think!

Oh.. i watched this three years ago.. haha.. when i was 10.. this movie sure is great for 10 yr old kids.. haha.. now i find this boring..but still, i like the plot (:

Finally getting around to watching the movie. Siren was a good game (while Blood Curse was brilliant). Hopefully, this movie won\'t kill the franchise.

Be warned, if you haven\'t played the game you may not piece together some reused ideas (this film leaves a lot of gaps to fill). I...did not like this. While some ideas/effects/things were impressively transplanted from the game so well, which was comforting, it seemed weak as an actual movie. Agreeing with some other comments it started out slow, long and drawn out and then snaps into some very satisfying action scenes, but again leads to a disappointing (not unique) and then abrupt, ending, with an inconclusive feeling about it. The protagonist though beautiful is the typical screaming squealing irritating personality type, barely any actual character.
As I thought most of the perks were the concepts effortfully drawn from the game, only noticeable to those that played it, I can\'t advise it as anything more than mediocre to someone just looking for a good movie. It\'s not special, there\'re better on this site.

I like this movie the ending is excellent. It\'s not the common they live happily ever after. Looks like there is a part two.

Roanoke becomes RoanoSecretary and Marie-Celeste, Mary Sylas. Weird.
The zombies\' lack of coordination was hilarious. They hit everything except their target.
Anyway, not the best movie on this site by a long shot, but not the worst either. And the ending was the usual flogging of the proverbial zombie horse. Thanks Kanada.

Ok, first of all, this movie utterly sucked, bigtime. It was too short, and the plot was slow and too simple. They still didn\'t show why the people appeared as zombies/shibitos, and why the girl in red was there in the first place.
The game was better and made more sense than this crap, even if this movie wasn\'t based on it.

good ending to this one not very scary tho. i like the tag line \"look into the mirror dog is god and live is evil\" XD

Holy Crap!!! They made movie out of that game?! I tried playing it and never quite got into it, and actually there was some technical problem with the game or my playstation 2 that kept me from progressing, but I was really interested in it. Too much time playing Battlefromn though hehehe. I hope to come across it again sometime and try again, it seemed like a Silent hill thing in some ways though, anyone else be able to enlighten me?

Well, that wasn''t bad. I have the game, and I love it but actually I watched this not thinking " That's a film inspired by Forbidden Siren video game ". It's more enjoyable like this and indeed I liked this movie. So sad when she found out about her brother... :(


Oh and I'm sure that Asian love to NOT explain everything...just watch Asian horror movies keeping' that in mind. :)

I never played the video game and not having anything to go on, I liked this a lot. Ghostly sirens on dark, deserted islands with inhabitants that are all obtuse and devoid of emotion make for one spooky story! The whole isolation effect was done tremendously well as I felt for this scared teenage girl who had nowhere to run and no one to help her yet she had to try and protect her little brother all while being frightened out of her wits. Freaky!
