This was pretty good, not a horror, but more of a thriller/drama, similar to \"Death Sentence\". Still a very good movie.

Damn...it\'s sad to know shit like these do happen in the real world. I\'d shoot them on sight if such BS happens to me and I wouldn\'t give a shit about the consequences. I wouldn\'t give 2 shits if it had to be a girl too. Ohhh yeah, blame the parents for sure - Damn kids these days are like terrorists. (lol) And what the fuck\'s up with the sweater?! I bet he just thought it would make him look \"hip\" and \"cool.\" No gripe with the movie at all though - I think it accurately depicts the youth nowadays, what with them thinking they could run around, driven by \"revenge\", beating people up and getting away with it because they\'re \"underaged.\" (lol x2)

On a side note, this movie is absolutely gratifying. I was hoping Kadokawa (Or whatever his name\'s spelled as) would beat the living shit out of the Kamiki until his head\'s nothing less than a bloody mess of pulp and brains

Good movie. I would have skinned them pukes who fucked with my Family. Make them pay. For some reason now days you are not able to punish your children without a person who has no children yelling about your abusing your child. I want to yell at them to have a kid first then lets hear your opinion about what you would do and the ones I Know who have them now they don\'t say shit because they understand what being a parent is....Hard fucking work.

Gonna watch it now, however, it sounds like an American movie with Charles Bronson called Death Wish 1974 (vigilante justice).

9/10, absolutely awesome. It may not have the gore of Ichi the Killer or the humor of Detective Story but it`s still one of Miike`s finest works.

We have the same laws in Canada that protect these little pukes until they\'re f***ing 18. In ancient times, all around the world, the victims & survivors of crimes like rape, murder, & child molestation, had the right to execution of the criminals.
I agree with TwilightZone 59. It does seem inspired by Death Wish. [I liked how Bronson carried a couple rolls of quarters in a sock as his first weapon]

For all of you who are probably outraged at how the legal system in Japan works, remember that this is only a movie. More so, it is a Miike T movie, and needs to been taken with more than a grain of salt.

The father here is a metaphor for all of us who have been wronged, and were somehow made to look like the bad guy.

This movie was remade in America. It was called \"Death Sentence\". It was okay & they switched it up a little to make it seem original. You can never duplicate a classic, never.
