I was surprised to see this was uploaded.
Akira Kurasawa is like the Japanese Alfred Hitchcock, in my opinion. He revolutionized the movie industry world-wide with his enthralling story-lines and unforgettable characters, that have influenced filmmakers even up to this day. This timeless classic is still as enjoyable to watch as when it was first released.
Defiantly a must see!

regarded as a classic and quite rightly.however after watching this again after many years.i find it striking how time hasnt been kind.the film movies at a slow pace.too much talking heads.almost a stage play over a film.and the music is just rubbish.and perhaps for some .a film which tells the same event many times ,but never says what really happened ,may be the final insult.classic yes ,but better was too come.i hope someone adds throne of blood .better film in many ways.negavitve i dont mean to be.this film is important and worth watching.and im glad to see this sight offering a much wider taste/age of film.most important i got to watch this film again, and this time round ,i felt different about the film.but then isnt that what counts ,the watching ,enjoying/not enjoying, the thoughts the film throws up

This, ladies and gentlemen is my all time favorite movie - there\'s no real scares but the performance of Mifune is fantastic!! What a truly great masterpiece of Kurosawa\'s. Also Hidden Fortress and Lower Depths are well worth watching, true genius at work. 10/10

Kurosawa is a masterpiece himself. Modern director
even adapted his style the likes of Spielberg. Lots
of Kurosawa\'s movies were imitated. One of them is
Yojimbo (A Fistful of Dollars, Last Man Standing).
Clint might not have made it to super stardom. Seven
Samurai becomes The Magnificent Seven and a lot more.
