Title - It\'s Me

**spoiler**(my question)
Okay, I can\'t even give a synopsis because I don\'t get this one. I\'m so confused.

I know he\'s dead and he doesn\'t know it. If he\'s dead, then why does he con people and need money? Why did he ask his grandma for money? He\'s a ghost, why does he need money, period? And these flashbacks make it confusing. Someone explain!

Oh, and why is his name Yuki? Isn\'t Yuki a girl name that means \"snow princess\" in japanese or something?

Yuki was dead, and also his mother and sister. It doesn\'t say how they died, just that Yuki was a dead 3 years, and he had been killed with his partner, as we saw, THREE yr.s prior. Customs and religions still believe, even today, that each year, nearing their death aniversary, for a set amount of days, the dead come back to see their families. The grandmother also knew he would come back and visit..The sister asked if he was there before they left, and the grandmother said yes, So I am assuming they eyes Yuki saw in grandma\'s, were the sister and mothers, before they left. When they left, was when he screamed and passed out.
he and his mom, and sister were ALL dead, but the mom and sister were in a different ghost realm, which is why mom and sister couldnt see him, and he saw onlytheir eyes and black faces..He WASNT reincarnated!!!
Reincarnation is to be re-born as someone else, and to LIVE...
Some asian customs /beliefs, are ancestor worship. They believe that if you do not honor the dead, (prayers, incense, food, etc at alter on birthdays, holidays, aniversarys, etc), that they will come back and curse you and the rest of family, so these alters are provided for the dead.Mortuaries are filled on holidays with asian people visiting their loved ones graves, and setting up the alters. It is still a very popular practice & belief. He came back, and was WELCOMED back by his grandmother, who looked forward to his visits..
He didnt know he was dead, and neither did his partner, who held the gun, who was dead also.SINCE they didnt KNOW they were both dead, when they BOTH came back as GHOSTS on their death aniversary, (which some asian customs believe is when they come home for 7 or 11 days, the 7th or 11th, being on their death aniversary-( i cant remember which)They continued their bad deeds, picking up where they had left off in life, even after death...Just my theory, lol...But it did make sense to me, and I really enjoyed it.

sorry my \"spoiler\" was so long, but judging from comments, NOBODY seemed to understand the plot, hence the LONG explanation, lol...but that explanation may also help you understand alot of the plots to many asian horrors, as this custom is well known and practiced, by a large percentage of the asian comunity, in asia, as well as the united states...
So, whe nyou see these alters all the time, the food, incense, hell notes ( money to buy their way across the river) will know will see these also set up in asian restaraunts as well, for good luck and prosperity.A buddha is usually next to the ones in businesses, because it is the buddha they are asking for the good fortune..

Films that make you think about them for a good while afterwards are good. This has left a lasting impression on me. I loved the simple charm of Grannies place. I wanted to have her take care of me too. A strange balance of dark deeds and the warmth of family love. I liked this episode very much.

What I like about these is the cultural insight that scary stories provide. What we eat and what scares us, as a society, tells a lot about that society
TwilightZone59 (9/9/2009 @ 3:15 am)
This was my favorite so far. I have learned a lot about Asian tradition and superstition from quite a few of these movies. Thank you.
Luna PenDragon (9/15/2009 @ 6:59 pm)
