I had been wanting to see this for a while now. It was very nice -- the ending, where the main character is walking down that decrepit old entry in the house, is extremely well done. I\'d watch it again just for that scene alone.

The film Muoi tells the story of a Korean writer who travel to Vietnam to explore the century old legend of a haunted portrait for her up and coming book. The movie center on the apex of curses and the vengeful ghost theme. Much of the dialogues in the film tries to grip the audience into the haunted portrait legend, while attempting to built suspense, it falls flat into soporific and inane rambles. The lack of a compelling plot, true suspense, or dread made the film a saturation of ghost cliché that collapse under its own weight in tedium.

Nothing new on the old theme of vengeful ghosts here but still worth seeing for its production values, beautifully shot images of the Vietnamese countryside, ruins and French-inspired homes as well as the creep factor. It may not scare you to death but it had its moments. All in all, a film worth watching at least once.

Hrmm... Good production values, acting, etc. Story really needed some work. It\'s OK though. One thing keeps bugging me about ghost movies... Ok these vengeful ghosts have been wronged so they go around killing folks. How do the folks they kill get even, do they in turn haunt the ghost??? Where does it end??? Stop the insanity!!!

Interesting movie...better than most ghost curse films. At least it didn\'t involve people dying because they walked into a house. The girl playing the writer played Hae-ju in Wishing Stairs...she looks much better without that ridiculous fat-suit.

It stopped in the last ten minutes of the movie! GRRRR! It was pretty spooky though, gotta find out how it ends.

The story beginning and middle were ok, but the ending is disppointing.
I liked Seo-Yeon actress acting, and she`s very beautiful.

wondering what\'s Muoi\'s justification to her vengence. She\'s the 3rd party in the relationship with the artist and the wealthy lady. Although that wealthy lady is cruel in her ways at getting Muoi back, but nonetheless it\'s understandable - her love\'s heart got stolen away by another girl. Seoyeon\'s case would be different though; wtf is wrong with that guy she liked and that bitch girl, getting guys to gangbang her at the playground? too coward to tell off a girl that he\'s taken? ballless fag. hope they die at the end >_>

I don\'t see how this film makes in into so many \"top 10 scariest\" lists. Unfortunately although the storyline is typically scary, its also over used.

I enjoyed the effects and how it was filmed but as a horror film I\'d give it 3/10. It just seemed too predictable.

If you like stories of \'revenge\' then give it a go!

i think theres something wrong with it? .. it stops at about like 36 ish mins in.. it doesnt go one.. i dunno.. it wont work for me, and yes i have firefox and yes its fully loaded it just stops and has the playback button...

whoa. pretty impressive. even though it has same cliched theme/story, it didn\'t fail to scare. great build-up. the scariest scenes were near the end. brilliant ^^

great movie, contain loads of moral, historical value (eventhough it might not be true) and artistic too. I dont really like movies with bad endings but this one can be justified with the moral of the story and the endings goes well with the story line.... Briliant!! definitly worth watching..

This was a good movie, it\'s sad though that it seem like Vietnamese girls gets mistreated by those Korean guys & how if they are half Korean & half Vietnamese that they get looked down on by Koreans.

The starting was great but i guess the ending was quite disappointing.
