The worst part is the fact that this is base upon actual events. According to many of the reviews i\'ve read, not only are the tortures depicted here historicly accurate, but there were many even sicker happenings that this movie didn\'t show.

I am so disappointed that u guys removed the movie..That is not fair just some Softy viewers complained and u had to remove it. U already warned them ***WARNING Contains Graphic violence and Extreme Gore 18 ++***...What more do they need. Asian-Horror-Movies is all about horror,sick movies. Many people enjoy the adrenaline rush. and if u can\'t provide that then u don\'t deserve the name. \"Men behind the Sun\" deserves to be seen so please put it back and ignore the softies u have already warned them.

FYI we didnt actually remove this Movie, initially the host we had it on removed it and we recently replaced it on another host which can be a bit unreliable, but the movie is here.

watched it and feel sick, couldn\'t sleep, had to think what if...it happens again and your daughter or wife with your child is under those perverts in such a camp wherever whenever? It doesn\'t matter what nationality. It is terrible.

Hmmm....guess I\'m just one sick individual because I found this movie to be tame. I have seen far worse in my opinion. However, all in all I really enjoyed the movie!

i also saw a lot gore and so one but this movie shocked me in a way and it was not the lousy special effects. This was harmless. Just have a look at utube and hear what the still living members of unit 731 have to say. I believe the Head of 731 was not a monster at all he was a heartless scientist thats all. And that was scary. All of the People around were puppets. Fear seduced all of them. If you say something, well perhaps your family next..then you. Nice really...

I have this on DVD and what a great film hope they put the 2rd one on as its so hard to get I have all the other but none as sick as this film....

Good movie over-all, but I do not see why in any form this is rated NC-17. This, in my personal opinion, is more like a PG-13 at the most. Yes, medical experiments were shown and yes, they did go on in the 40s in many countries....but it is all just a matter of war when it comes down to it.

This movie and these events deserve more recognition, +20 million civilians died in the genocide committed by Japan, who still deny it. A first world country like Japan should know better and have some respect for the countless innocent people they destroyed. This movie is not entertainment, its a historical movie showing (from what we know) the terrible acts that DID HAPPEN. Never let anyone deny it, genocide denial is in some places and should be a crime.

But don't search for sick movies, then complain it's sick. In my opinion you need to grow some balls. I am 17 Years of age, and I can handle realism, statistics show most of you are full grown men.

For some reason i like this movie. In a way.

Japan too had their politrucks. Politruck, originally russian machine gunners that shot front line deserters on the spot. The idea is the same, either you die or kill enemy, or you get killed by the guy who already sees you, and is your countryman and more experienced soldier.

As a movie, I can name some real horror movies... this is more a gruesome documentary than anything these days. If you don't want them to die in vain, don't give your approval to dirty warfare. It's very dangerous warfare because it makes killing easy. Before gunpowder was invented, killing in war wasn't so easy because you often had to do it while facing the one you kill. It causes drastic traumas and a lot of people would prefer to just harm their foe mortally and just make them unable to fight back, giving them a chance in life or a painful and slow death without having to watch that.

Hippies don't have it all wrong when they wanna destroy the weapons from the earth. I'm not a hippie, but I'd much rather have a world without dirty weapons, tools that make killing a lot of people very easy, tools that are used just for that, not for any non-manslaughter things. If you want those victims' deaths bear a meaning, I think keeping killing other human beings hard enough, is a good reason.

I agree with you, but you cannot hold an entire country accountable for what happened in WWII. It's not the general Japanese population's fault that they do not know about this; it's the government's fault for not educating them. From what I have read and seen, most Japanese citizens do not deny that it happened. They simply *do not know* that it happened.

Films like this I believe Should be available to the general public and not banned or removed as many wished. It is brutal , it is harsh , it is sick and it is demeted but so was the entire concept behind EVERY war in history...nothing is ever logical or 'pretty butterflies' when it comes to war. movie was a snoozefest but the "experiment" scenes were waaaaaayyyyy ahead of their time. EXTREME! for 1980's standards. the cat looked like he was havin a blast, till he got eaten alive. rat bastards got it back though, 10 fold! remake this with tom cruise and leonardo dicaprio and we talkin oscars baby!
