I actually think that the american version is scarier and better.. maybe because I saw the remakes first and then the orginals.. coz I usally like the orginals better but that have been when I saw them first and then the remakes :S

Eh...this didn\'t scare me at all. I can\'t believe that I actually like the remake better than this. Sorry but the acting is bad and this is really low budget.:/ Ah! It\'s the attack of the burping ghosts!:p

the american version is a bit scarier...juss an opinion...prob cuz its still has japanese aspects too it....plus kayako looked a bit scarier cuz of da lighting or no light...lol...sucks dat dey leave da bed scene out....

666, the American remakes features the same woman and child from the original (and far superior) Japanese versions, check the credits.
I think this is the finest Japanese horror movie ever made. It probably deserves a new genre created in its honor.. something like Grudgesque or Ju-onish Horror :D

Well that sucked! I watched the first 72 minutes of the film and then \"MegaVideo\" wouldnt let me watch the rest unless I paid for a membership or waited an hour.

At least I\'ve seen this one before. This is obviously a great film. 10/10

you know ive been coming on here for a while learning more about the culture of asian horror and i have to say your comments about america are lame. you all should figure out where to point the finger. im american does that mean i love stealing movies??? hollywood is what you should be preaching about. also asain movies only count for a small percent of remakes. hollywood rinses out every beautiful classic i ever cared about including american films. holly claims that acting in a horror movie is the 2nd worst thing you can do with your career next to porn. but they see all the idiots packing up the theater to see a movie like the grudge that they have never heard of. simply because a freaked out scary asian woman pops out you. you should also consider the fact that someone had to sell them the rights, you tell me whos selling out. for all you who promote hate to america rember this dont hate the player hate the game

This is the best Asian horror movie ever! I absolutely love the Ju-on series and they are much better than the crappy American remakes! This is exactly what a horror movie should be, even if it doesn't scare me. Very creepy and the best 'monsters'.

hey, i have a little cheat for megavideo...if you wait for the entire video to load and then go to the top of your browser where it says file then click work offline you can watch the video without it saying you watch 72 mins of video...megavideo only counts the mins your online.
