The Insect Woman was inspired by a true murder case in Japan.Myeong-ja oddly enough asks him to take her in as a mistress. Soon-jo, his legal wife allows this to happen in the hopes that she will cure his impotency even with her.

She supports their life financially under the condition that he spends only half the day with Myeong-ja from Noon to midnight. At first this arrangement seems to be working, but as time goes on we begin to see that neither one of the women and willing to compromise their possession of Dong-shik.....

Tis looks like a good oldie!!SADA please find a movie about THE ABE SADA case if possible...just for trivia..the song playing while in the bar is AMERICAN my cherie amour by stevie wonder...i just had to figure that out! thx for another good one..I love AHM YOU ROCK!!

This was amazingly good. I found it similar to another Korean classic, "Handmaid" with it's seemingly parasitic women and weak and hopeless men;) It also has some very David Lynch-like elements that are pretty effective.
