What I've learned about the Japanese police from this film, so far-
1. Police in Japan investigate the locations of multiple kidnappings on their own.
2. They smoke while investigating areas where secrecy is required.
3. Japanese police use camping lanterns instead of flashlights for maximum detectability.
4. They telephone their bosses to inform them of the state of dripping faucets.
5. They are formidably armed with a chef's chopping knife in the belt.
6. They are scared shitless by backwards rabbits.

Brilliantly executed and superb lighting and quality!

****Spoiler****

Ok so I think that this is like a time cycle and not exactly reverse time. Whatever or Whoever is in the house for a certain time will have all their actions rewinded and played and rewinded and played again. Creating a cycle that traps! Kind of like the Siren videogame about the Oroboros(don't know the spelling exactly) who is a god or something of time trapping cycles that cursed the entire village through dark ritual. Basically the things just get sucked into the source of the "evil" which is the bag.
Since this is a short they did not delve into the whole story and started with some givens.

@Asianlover- did we watch the same film? Yes, it's "brilliantly executed". For a first-attempt high school filmmaker, maybe. A big maybe.
BTW, the Orobourus [a dragon or snake biting its own tail] is an ancient European alchemists' symbol signifying the circular nature of time, space, & the infinite.

that bunny disturbed my soul...

plop888 is just being humorously cynical, if you watched the whole film, you'd easily come up with dozens of answers to his "observations"

bow. :D
