All I can say about this one is yes it is a quick fix of gore, no it didn\'t have enough story, and stupid stinky maggots!!

I can\'t really say that i liked this move becasue as it turns out, ever i need a bit of substance or artistic vision to go along with the bloodshed and curelty (something i never knew about myself until now). I do like the part were the crazy guy in the samurai helmet presented his collection to us; that was nice of him and it kind of reminded me of \"The Texas Chainsaw Massacure.\" But all in all this is just the kind of gross and meaningless exploitation film that critics usally hate unless of course it features lots of pretty background colors, hip dialoge, and an gag-inducing amount of self-righousness. If this film had all that even Roger Ebert would give it a thumbs up; if you don\'t beilive me then just read the reviews for \"Hard Candy.\" Yes folks, life is full of irony; oh, and speaking of irony: HAPPY HUMAN RIGHTS DAY EVERYONE!

I\'m with the other person who said she would have died much sooner in real life than she did in the film. She would have bled to death from the amputation of her hands.
There\'s quite a bit about this movie that doesn\'t make sense but I guess it\'s not supposed to....
Also: I can think of many Takashi Miike films that are not only gorier but also much more entertaining. So, don\'t waste your time with this.

Though I think they might have been closer to real if it wasn\'t steak and bone (or wood) stuffed in rubber. I mean we are genetically closer to a pig, and I know raw beef when I see it ^^
Still unsure about the eye, can\'t think of any animals that have human like eyes, but it definitely didn\'t look like glass or plastic.
But, the effect was much better than anything hollywood has ever produced (at least that i\'ve seen)

Yeah, I can understand these films being very influential and scary, especially in their time, but I have to say it doesn't look at all realistic to me... very obvious when the fake limbs were used, they look (and cut) like rubber or something. A good throwback, and classic film to watch, but not exactly stimulating. The effects just don't stand the test of time. :\

There's no way such large amount of blood would spurt out of cephalic vein and ulnar artery. A pressure twice the normal blood pressure is needed to pump such amount of blood out of the wrist, but before it happens blood would come out from other parts of the body first.

And they should've removed the part where the head flies high after beheading.
