The whole traditional feet binding thing for the chinese was creepy enough as it was--well guess what, this has just made it worst.
This movie was just disturbing and makes sense. The director/creator must\'ve put a lot of time into putting together the story.
Kiki (10/12/2008 @ 3:56 pm)
probably a dumb question but.. what\'s a bagua (never heard of the word)
Kitty (11/1/2008 @ 3:46 am)
Great movie! I would recommend it to anyone.
It\'s not really scary, but the story is great. A little slow at times, but wonderful nonetheless. And the ending! The ending is amazing!

It\'s good. It\'s one one of the better Filipino horror movies.

The storyline is good which will compensate for the not so good monster make-up. lol

It\'s definitely worth watching! Sad ending. *sob*

very scary... lots of heart thumping scenes and really horrifying ghosts scenes in this movie. a must-see filipino flick. i like this one, the Bagua thing is so freaky. nice strytelling here, and the plot is unique. the lead actress who played Joy\'s character... is it true that she\'s a daughter of a former Philippine President?
ryann (3/7/2009 @ 3:42 pm)
yes it\'s true... the lead actress is Kris Aquino. Daughter of former President Corazon Aquino. she has another film in this channel... just look for Sukob. another scary one.

MayEdward (4/17/2009 @ 7:06 am)
fantastic movie - a horror movie not in the sense of curse-ghost haunting-killing, but rather curse phenomenon-killings.
a really good concept and well thought out storyline. nicely put together.
the only thing i can complain about is the ending. (1) didn\'t Denton say that they were ok thanks to Thelma\'s driving skills? and (2) didn\'t she already refuse goodluck + destroy the bagua as instructed by the elder?
then why did her children die and thelma, and why is the mirror still intact? -_-

a good movie all in all
8/10 in my opinion ^^
EdwardMay (4/17/2009 @ 7:13 am)
The word Feng-Shui remind me of a grave yard. Where there are ancestors who passed away, and the decenter finds a good place to bury them in a certain directions, such in balance of water, mountain, the way wind blow and trees around the place, rocks surround the grave. Bagua would be one of the tool use to help feng shui master to help the to look for this feng shui for the deceased ones. And in my eyes and my knowledge, bagua is one of the tool to help reflect or chase away evil spirits.

The movie itself is not bad. The characters are well participate in the movie 6/10, the storyline is good 7/10, the ending is little confusing where the kids say \"aunt thelma is a good driver\" but they ended up dead +.+ 5/10. Scariness is 5/10, not too tense or too much on it.

I give 6/10 over all on the movie.
anything but ordinary (4/21/2009 @ 6:44 am)

speaking as an asian horror movie fanatic, i consider this movie the best filipino horror movie to date, has not been surpassed yet. great story good execution definitely a must see...
Kitsune (7/15/2009 @ 10:52 am)
As much as I understand Tagalog, I can\'t help but wonder why some subtitles are missing. Is it a site/computer bug on my end, or is there something wrong with the video?

Just asking for all the others who don\'t understand Filipino language... :\\ Thanks.
LFrog1386 (7/22/2009 @ 4:33 am)
Whoa-excellent movie, great storyline, script and acting. Loved the connections made from good luck to bad luck, the ways people died and how it related to their births. I only wonder why it wasn\'t called Karma instead.

While the movie didn\'t scare me, it was very creepy and set a great mood. The music, lighting and ghosts all created a wonderfully creepy feeling and the ending was right in line with the whole theme.

PS-the sub-titles and loading all worked fine for me, using Firefox (Mozilla) and don\'t read the comments on part 2 until you are done; there are spoilers there!

Eh...I thought this movie was corny...
ghte (8/2/2009 @ 3:42 am)
Why the english mixed sentences? I dont get why some asian cultures lack so much selfrespect. The lighter ones among them are the worst since they idiolize western culture and if they would they would totally be white. This is disgusting since you should learn how to like yourself and not try to be someone else. See the face the woman does when she sees the darker skin crowd? What the shame to vietnamise culture.. I also see alot of this in thai movies. Pure racist, coming from people who are racism victimes back in here the us. Idiots if you ask me.
mizukimishca (8/2/2009 @ 8:58 am)
may edward..her children died beacause she refuse the payment for the bagua..and not goodluck..the elders said to destroy the bagua after refusing was payment for the gOod luck of the was for other peoples interest..gOodluck should be having something that is impossible without replacement..they wer giving her lots of money for the bagua..i cant xplain it well but i hope u understand my point..^^kawaii
mizukimishca (8/2/2009 @ 9:08 am)
the children said that aunt thelma was a good driver, because they don knoe that they wer olredi dead...and the their mother was olredi inside the world of the bagua..ol of dem was inside it..beacuse the elders said once u destroy the bagua without refusing good luck..the bagua will take ur souL..she refused the payment for the bagua not the gOodLuck!^^try to watch and read the subtitles was not confusing at me
it was a gOod movie than other fiLipino movies..

i rarely watch filipino scary movies cuz they just arent scary but this one freaked me out when i saw it :| i cannot express how scared i was because we had that same thing hung up on our door and i watched this during my pre-teen years when i didnt know any better D:
Kathyleen (3/5/2010 @ 6:33 am)
This movie is really entertaining. It has a very unique plot and unlike the "usual" horror films, the ambiance of this movie is really bright. FOr example, usually, haunted houses are dark, but here their house is brightly lighted. That and a lot more. I'm just thrilled to see an asian horror film that is not a copy cat of the ring. ^_^ Worth the watch!
Kathyleen (3/5/2010 @ 7:33 am)

I'm sorry but I don't get your point about racism in this movie. And what western culure are you talking about? If you do a research you will know that Filipino's came from mixed races. SPanish, Japanese, Chinese, Americans, and a lot more. Filipinos are welcoming people, they were actually the ones being discriminated when visiting other countries. Are you sure you commented on the right movie? Just don't get your point here... I'm sorry.
Kathyleen (3/5/2010 @ 7:36 am)
And by saying that Asians don't have self respect? I think that's a pretty racist comment right there. Think before you speak... ^_^
Bluejamn (3/6/2010 @ 7:14 am)
I guess we can't judge someone's culture just by watching a single movie from their country. If I'm not mistaken aside from tagalog(philippine national dialect)and english, Philippine people speak more than 7000 dialects. More than 7000 dialects and you're accusing them of not having self respect just by speaking english which is just one of the thousand languages they speak. Really? Each of us has our own culture and this site is amazing for enlighteniing us about other's traditions. One word "RESPECT". Just because you disagree about something doesn't make you right.

My g/f lives in the Philippines, and I am trying to get an understanding of her culture through its myths and legnds, this is one of the few Filipino that is working in this category, I hope you upload the others again soon,

Hi, this is my first comment, but I’ve been around here for some time now.
(More than a year...)
I’m 100% Mexican, and I’m an obsessed fan of asian terror movies since December 2004, and my fav. movies usually are the Korean ones. My very fav. movies are from Korea (most of them), Singapore (“The Maid”), Japan and China.
ABOUT THIS MOVIE: Thanks to you *____* this is the fourth Filipino movie I saw… and HOW EXCELLENT!… I like very much all the 4 movies I saw: Wag Kang Lilingon, Barang and Signos… but now Feng Shui… I did watch it some days ago and… perhaps is now my fav. from Filipines, and definitely one of my biggest favorites from all Asia … this movie is simply great… from the very best I’ve seen…
I’m not used to put a grade to movies (I don’t like it), but… If I had to, I would say 10/10.
Really… I liked everything: the story, the music, the acting… the make up…
(sometimes make up just like that is when it becomes MUCH more scary, and not when they exaggerate it too much.. like in some thai movies I’ve seen, for example…)… the ghost! Oh my, really this is from the BEST I’ve seen.
Really is an *excellent* movie… is simply great.
About this site: *thank you so much…*, to all the staff of Asian Horror Movies… this site is marvelous, and you do such a truly marvelous work…
Really is so amazing that this site exist!!! *_____________*
I was looking forward very much to know terror movies from other Asian countries, and thanks to you this has been possible! =) =) =) : ) ^^
Now I have been able to watch movies from Filipines, Indonesia, Malaysia… movies that I can’t (or would be very, very difficult to) find where I live.
I was so lucky to find it, (thanks to the person that mentioned it on other site!)
I really hope you keep this *wonderful site*, for many many years.
Can I donate even if I don’t have any credit card or bank account? Perhaps through (I don’t know how they call it in english) something as money-transference???
Sorry for the long message (I couldn’t help it u__u), and sorry for my bad english, is not my language at all.
Thank you very much again, really congratulations and keep on, please!!!! ^_^
Best regards from Guadalajara, Jalisco. México.
HadaObscuraENID (7/2/2010 @ 1:06 am)
Sorry about this:
" I did watch it some days ago (...)" ...when I wrote that, but actually I wrote that more than a year ago. So I didn't watch it for the first time "some days ago", but more than a year ago *__*.
Anyway, this movie rocks!!!
Bang (8/29/2010 @ 4:35 pm)
