(2007)

(Documentary|Horror|Japan)

With Hollywood seeming to be running out of horror movie ideas, the Asian film industry’s ability to find new ways of terrifying movie fans is capturing the attention of film studios desperate for box office success.

From Tokyo to Hong Kong and Bangkok to Seoul, this documentary describes how Asian directors have developed the Midas touch. By incorporating elements of the real and the true, and by preying on culturally unique fears, they have produced some of the scariest moments in the history of cinema.

ok documentry, nothing new but.It would have been much better had it featured more asian horror directors .It was good to see the segment with Hideo Nakata. Not a mention of classics like Kwaidan or Ugetsu or countless others which to me is criminal.....

intresting, I guess if your from america asian movies seem scarier because of there exotic nature.AND also because there more original than the american ones.U.S. film makers need to step it up.We uset to dominate the horror movie market.
Ferdinand Trussoff (6/18/2010 @ 9:48 am)

I know! It's like all they can do is make bad remakes of good classics.
