CURE ASian horror movie

A wave of gruesome murders is sweeping Tokyo. The only connection is a bloody "X" carved into the neck of each of the victims.

An odd, young man is arrested near the scene of the latest murder, who has a strange effect on everyone who comes into contact with him. Detective Takabe starts a series of interrogations to determine the man's connection with the killings.

Masterpiece? I would hardly say that. Cure unfolded extremely slowly, even for me, and I am willing give a lot of patience to someones work. The ending or \'cure\' was anticlimactic and rather dreadful, not worth the watch. Seemed like someone had too many ideas and didn\'t know how to progress with them, so there are many scenes where nothing really is happening and direction is muddy.

i partially agree with geminate..its bit slow for me..but it have very good storyline and it enough keep me watching it until end..the ending bit confusing but thats the most twisted part in this movie...7/10

... i don\'t understand this movie at all. don\'t expect an amazing, twist conclusion, because the ending is anticlimatic and doesn\'t explain any of the story. it seems to just drop off into nowhere. the movie is also very, very slow and relatively uneventful; however, the directing and technical filmmaking is good.

Subtle psychological horror at its best. Kurosawa must be regarded along with the likes of Kubrick. This is a movie intended for people with an attention span longer than 5 minutes, so if you like your horror more in your face, maybe try something like SAW.
