Tsukiko (Moe Arai) is a member of the photography club in high school. On her way home with friend Kae (Aika Ota), Tsukiko runs into older sister Tomie (Miu Nakamura) who goes to the same high school. Tomie is also with Toshio (Kensuke Owada) – a guy Tsukiko has a secret crush on. Tsukiko is consumed with fierce jealousy over her sister, but at the same time is intoxicated with Tomie’s beauty. Tsukiko keeps pressing the trigger on her camera. At that time Tomie tells her sister that she knows what she is feeling. When Tsukiko stops taking pictures, Tomie is crushed by a steel frame that falls from a building under construction.

One year later, Tsukiko still suffers nightmares over her sister’s death. Slowly, her daily life returns to some sense of normalcy. On Tomie’s 18th birthday, her parents and Tsukiko stand around a birthday cake in her honor. At that time someone knocks on their door. Tomie stands in the doorway with rich black hair and her beauty shining even more brightly. Her parents are delighted to see Tomie and welcomes her back with tears pouring out. Meanwhile, Tsukiko stands there unable to believe what is transpiring. Tsukiko’s nightmare now turns into reality and her terror is only set to begin …

Does this movie has english sub? I downloaded the first link and it does not have sub. Does the other link have sub?
Ken (11/14/2011 @ 12:17 am)
@bob, no there aren't any subs yet :)
King of Noobs (11/14/2011 @ 11:12 pm)
I notice there are already some votes even though subtitles are not released yet.. either made by japanese people or where there some people able to found subtitles online?
plop888 (11/15/2011 @ 8:58 pm)
@ King of Noobs- No subs yet. I checked round the web & this is the only place to see this. Be patient, Sada & co. will post a subbed, streaming link soon.
FYI, Japanese folks are not the only people that can speak Japanese. Just as not everyone who speaks English is from England.

Thank you for the movie! The AHM download link works perfectly and downloads in less than 8 minutes.

As for the movie, I watched it twice and I just dont get it... even with English subtitles I probably wouldnt get it. I have never seen a Tomie movie or manga before so thats probably why. The movie is ok I guess- I find it funny and Moe Arai (Tsukiko) is guilty of overacting in this film. Give it a watch if your a fan of Tomie but you may want to skip if you have no knowledge of the series and like myself, are probably going to under-appreciate it.
DeepSoul (11/17/2011 @ 10:08 am)

It's not like we have many other good movies to watch. I've already seen all the good ghost movies and the trailer looked promising, so I'm going to give this a chance...when it has subtitles
DaniBabe (11/20/2011 @ 12:01 pm)
I love the Tomie movies! I really want to watch this but I am having a hard time trying to download the movie. I downloaded Ilivid and I downloaded the movie and tried to play the movie using windows media player but the movie never played. I'm tired of trying so I am about to give up until the mainstream version with subtitles is up and running!!!
Helper (11/23/2011 @ 10:15 pm)
@ DaniBabe , It wont play with media player. download VLC player that plays all formats of video.
JadeMoon (11/24/2011 @ 3:28 am)
Movie plays well on media player classic bundled with K-Lite Mega Codec Pack. I watch all of my movies on that player.

very good Movie, I love the Tomie Movies. She is so evil and pretty in this one.
Baroth (1/18/2012 @ 11:39 pm)
Humm, not too great imo, some of the visuals are interesting and even original, but in terms of plot, it's just not polished. The characters, especially the parents are not credible at all..I mean, your daughter who's been dead for a year suddenly comes back home and they don't even look surprised or curious as to how it happened. Anyway, maybe if you're into the serie, you might like it, but there are much better 'weird' Japanese flicks about..(Uzumaki, Exte for example.).Still, I did watch it until the end without falling asleep as I usually do after a long day's work, so,I guess it worth one watch. The various weird incarnations of Tomie kept me awake. Thanks for posting and getting the subs. Keep up the good work.

It seemed a really interesting movie at first, but as it got to the end i thought to myself "wtf am i watching :D"
GraceyMay (2/10/2012 @ 6:22 am)
Favorite Tomie yet! She is SO gorgeous in this one!!
LFrog1386 (2/19/2012 @ 11:54 pm)
I just can't get into these Tomie movies! Every time I am left wondering why the protagonist doesn't speak up sooner about how Tomie isn't quite the same and I can't stand the way the parents act. I know it's because they are supposed to be under Tomie's spell but I just can't watch it. It comes off as too stupid to bear.
WTF... (2/20/2012 @ 5:35 am)
Please explain what I am watching TT_TT
Wasa (4/23/2012 @ 5:59 am)
Best Tomie movie I've seen since the first one.
As I recall the first couple of movies are good then they started doing a bunch of TV or at least TV quality ones that were pretty bad. Really glad to see someone made another high quality one.
C@ (5/7/2012 @ 10:10 am)
I swear that Tommie movies are the ultimate "WTF" movies ever created. I wanna know where I can get some of whatever they were smoking when they came up with this one. My griefness was this a nutso movie. I couldn't rate this even if I wanted to! I've had my Tommie fix for another couple of years.

Thanks for the upload, and as always, SADA SPARROW ROCKS!!!
xqu (6/12/2012 @ 5:48 pm)
lol, based on the intro of this movie with those lame effects and annoying sounds(music) I don't know if I can bare to watch any more, it's horrible. people actually like this?
Tiff (6/14/2012 @ 6:24 pm)
Hahaha this is the worst movie I have ever seen. If this is a "high quality" tomie movie, I don't think I'll watch the others.
ampy (6/18/2012 @ 8:19 pm)
I cant watch in my ipad2 i only have ipad, this donsnt work at all!,,help, please, what tomdo?
bobobobobobobobobo (7/10/2012 @ 1:15 am)
Ok Tomie is famed for being a 1970's ??? compilation of horror stories/manga, back when people actually knows what's the Twilight Zone ( an american t.v series that a mix of mystery,horror,sci-fi all slapped into one and every ep is a different story with diff staff of actors) whereas Tomie likes to reuse the same staff but in totally different stories all horror genre. The stories are actually short and easy to understand and all are quite good in paper not sure of this movie (haven't watch it yet) so I dunno if the movie director did it any justice, but honestly the manga is in the caliber of "the grudge" good in both plot and scare-0-meter. If you enjoyed this movie or thought it was terrible go google the manga and you'll easily see why it was so damn good back then and even now especially, since there's no fresh American horror that's actually scary without the bloody gore or the in-your-face 1 sec frame of some ugly decaying ghost/monster. Dunno why the horror theme is just soo damn dead these days.
boboobobobobobobobobo (7/10/2012 @ 1:33 am)
OH I understand why some people say this movie sucks... And I got to say I agree. The director for this movie mucked the original story up with too many unrealistic/bad acting scenes and I'm only just a few min into the movie. I.e.: the sister unprofesionally taking random pic like a 5 yr old in random direction and calls herself a photographer, the stupid scene where Tomie died standing up that defies gravity when she should be sprawled on the flr, or how the camera hops up and down on the floor at the same height when the sister dropped it just to give the bad illusion of camera firing off from the fall's impact... I got to say people making vids in youtube are more professional in making shows than this crew for this movie.
Al (7/14/2012 @ 2:55 pm)
I have ignored the series from a long time ago then I decided to watch this one. I don't think it's bad cos I already knew Tomie movies might not make any sense. But actually I enjoyed this one.. Now I'm on my way to watching all the other Tomie movies, hoping they won't be boring. Haha.
ha (7/16/2012 @ 10:23 pm)
@boboobobobobobobobobo why judge the makers of this movie by only the first 5 or more minutes of the movie? Tomie is always done weird.
the gayest tomie bitchh movie of the year (7/26/2012 @ 7:33 am)

hey guys she is hot the tomie chick to bad this movie made her face looks like a fuktard oh well im hit on her mom instead
Amanda (8/28/2012 @ 6:53 am)
wow, yea im kinda weird but i actually kinda liked this movie. it was unrealistic i agree but..i believe some of these Japanese filmmakers have a pretty interesting imagination. it almost seemed like a kind of acid trip movie but it was very innovative. i guess it all depends on what you're into but i like outrageously weird movies especially in the horror genre. i cant wait to see what im gonna find on here next! thanks for the post very interesting choice!

Tsuchiya_Charlie (11/20/2012 @ 3:30 am)
WTF! never seen the tomie films before but thought id give it a try with this one first (as ive heard they are all pretty stand alone) I love weird films but this was something else, also CGI was awful! much better asian films out there... think i wont be watching the others (unless someone can convince me otherwise lol)
Tsuchiya_Charlie (11/20/2012 @ 3:32 am)
I meant other Tomie films btw... I LOVE Asian horror in general :D
Frank Thomas (12/21/2012 @ 11:12 am)

Remi-chan (12/20/2014 @ 7:12 pm)
@Tsuchiya_Charlie: Please, don't let this movie keep you from watching the others. I highly recommend the first original Tomie film from 1999. It was very good and despite having less gore shown than the following films in the series, it was still very creepy. I personally enjoyed the original Tomie, Tomie: Rebirth, Tomie: Forbidden Fruit, and Tomie: Beginning.
