This movie is found footage (same sort of style liek phobia, with horror shorts) Yuthlert Sippapak is renowned for his penchant for mixing genres in his films. And he canít restrain himself from leaping from suspense to comedy to drama and back again to suspense even in a short film.

His crazy genre-bending yields mixed results in Heaven and Hell , a trio of ďfound footageĒ horror shorts purportedly taken from security cameras.

Okay, read the description above but don't watch the trailer, it would spoil the nice scenes.

Not the horror I expect from Thailand. Definitely, it's something like Rahtree, with less comedy, or something like Dark Flight. Kinda great idea the movie had, but just the Heaven 11 segment alone. But enjoyable overall, leaves me wanting more though. ^^ 3/5

Good (not great) anthology of stories from Thailand. I liked how the actors were reused in segments, tying them together and some of the comedic moments in the final segment were pretty funny. Not the best effort from Thailand but since ghost movies are scarce, it's worth seeing. Unless you're tired of the long-haired onryo-type ghosts. If so, avoid this like the plague. ;)

Do not be fooled by the positive review and rating. This movie was not good at all. It had some ups but mostly it was downhill. I'd give it a 0 out of 5; .5 for effort.
paperstick (1/25/2013 @ 9:52 pm)
@ Charlie , really 0/5 I dont think that is a good rating at all , 0 would imply that it is total shit and to avoid at all costs. Its a good movie and i would give it at least a 3 out of 5.

This was a comedy more than serious horror.
Kind of low-budget and really didn't flow that well.
Kind of entertaining...2/10 for me.

Entertaining, did not get bored 1 minute in that one. Yes, there are many better flicks out there, but it's worth a watch.
"Am I in Heaven or Hell? Heaven 11" LOL.
Thanks for posting.Been a while since I commented on anything on the site, but I'm a long time supporter. As I always say, keep up the great work ;-)

I always love this about Thai movies: Just enough scares to keep you on your toes and just enough laughs to make it worthwhile. Excellent movie for what it is. 4/5

*Spoiler Question*

so the woman who was supposed to stop the girl's suicide is a ghost? And she came to the store in a cab?

I appreciate its an artistic decision and it is different but the flicking back and forth between subtitles and action is as annoying as hell - BUT nicely done otherwise - good use of sound - nice bit in the first story where the guy opens the bag
Looks good in the main so far - I have watched the first 20 minutes or so

Okay, this film is hilarious. The acting is great, and the story's are okay at best. What you need to ask yourself is this: Do I have popcorn, a friend, a large TV and a blanket + cocoa...yes? Then proceed to hurl it at any annoying bystander that stumbles upon your viewing, this film requires two pairs of pants for being both scary and partially full of shit. It's wrought with jump scares, funny dialogue, and stereotypical characters, which is not to say that this film is bad, it is honestly unique in that way. The story's themselves are not original by any length, but I must say the the dialogue is; I enjoy the character chemistry and particularly the CCTV guys banter and "freak-outs". Watch this film without anything in your hands otherwise be prepared to be swearing and rubbing burning ointment on yourself and your partner. 6/10 It's okay, not a time waster but not OVERLY interesting.

Thai version of V/H/S.
It's a nice collection of short stories.

Thai is always superb in making horror movies because no matter how confusing the story is at first, you will get the answer in the end of the movie but this one, unfortunately, has too many plot holes. Just like user hakebor above said, why did they arrest his father for murder? Is the man that killed the cashier in the beginning of the movie is Jickís father? If yes, why would he kill that cashier girl? Iím so confused. And I really hope Iím not the only one who notices that Jick lady is a bad actress. Her acting was so horrible and unconvincing! I canít really tell if sheís sad or afraid. Her expressions almost look the same the entire time, and that is one of the main reason why I think this movie is weak.
Iíve seen many great Thai horror movies but this one is rather disappointing, I must say, although I enjoy the elevator scene.

Stupid Plot, but VERY scary. If you're only interested in being scared, watch this movie--and don't worry about the silent movie style of the first clip. The rest of the movie has sound.

Fun Facts before I start my review :
> Did you know that Jick that played in the Heaven 11 story is also the same actress that appeared in Dark Flight 3D.
> Did you also know that the fat lady that appeared in both story is also in the cast of Buppah Rahtree Revenge 1?

First of, I really thought that the movie would be a silent all throughout. I guess wrong when I read Will's comment below, hahaha.

Now, there are lots of unanswered questions about Heaven 11, and I'm here to share my theory about the Father being arrested with the unknown cause of it all. Remember the first footage in the beginning of Heaven 11? Yeah, the one where the guy pointed at the staff and hanged her. I'm assuming that 'that gun man' is the Father of Jick.

The cash lady that died because of Jick's Father became a revengeful spirit that comes to haunt the on-going cash lady that works in that certain shop. There's another question left untold : Why did Sam call Jick that Noo was dead?

Now this left me in a cross path. It's either Sam was making Jick guilty or the director really meant us to stray from figuring out the plot twist in the end of the movie. And to those who didn't understand the ending, Noo and Sam purposely lured Max inside the Heaven 11 store so that Jick can get him.

Remember when Noo received a text saying : "Love you girls forever." It means to say that she's saying thanks for understanding my love towards Max and giving him to me. They did this for the sake of their friendship.

The second story, Hell No. Eight. had really good jump scare scenes. I also like how they use the two previous CCTV workers in the first film. Great job. As always, Thai films really know how to fit in the comedy in all the horror short stories in the very end of the movie.

I don't have that much say to it, actually. Just some brief conversation about the ghost till they finally figure out that the ghost is after the two of them. It's a self-explanatory movie, so I'm sure no need for questioning on that one. :-)

OVERALL : I'd give this a 3/5 stars. It didn't really dazzle me that much compared to the rest of the anthology series. But it did keep me interested in the end. Recommended to people? I'm not sure if I could say that with confidence. Though, if you're a big fan of Thai-good-jumpscare-anthology movies, then this one is the one for you. :-)
